Classroom education and presentation on the information, considerations, and tactics the police supervisor needs for successfully managing critical incidents.  The supervisor’s role in managing the risks to public safety, employees, and the liabilities of organizational resources entrusted to them will be explored and fully appreciated in this course of instruction. Training is formatted for first level supervisors, training officers, and those preparing for supervision role.  Certificate of training issued upon completion of course.

Training consists of 2 days (16 hours) of instruction that will include the following topics.   

  • Initial response to critical incidents 
  • Applying the 4 C’s of response 
  • First responder REACT Team 
  • Use of force options and tactics
  • Critical Incident types, scope, & tactics 
  • Critical Incident site identification procedures 
  • Incident transition to Tactical Team 
  • Initial supervisor’s role in officer involved shooting


  • Only open to current/full time certified Law Enforcement
  • Law Enforcement credentials/ID will be confirmed at class
  • On line registrations that do not meet above will not be allowed to attend/no refund 


Student Supplies:

  • Note taking material / Duty belt and red/blue pistol/rifle (if available)
