Low Light Shooting and Tactics


This course builds on the concepts and legalities of use of force taught in the Practical Defense class. Course will focus on the defensive application of force in low light environments. Specific tactics, skills, and shooting techniques in utilizing a light source will be covered.

Class is an 8 hour training sesession, at night,  5pm to 1am,  with a scheduled break.


  • Successful completion of Practical Defense & Practical Handgun
  • Current State Concealed Weapon Permit (will need to present at class)
  • Waiver of Liability to be signed during registration at start of the session. 
  • On line registrations that do not meet above will not be allowed to attend/no refund 

Student Supplies:

  • Eye and ear protection
  • Note taking material
  • Handgun
  • Means to safely secure handgun on the range (range/gun bag or holster)
  • 300 rounds of practice ammunition
  • Light source – bring what you have (handheld and/or weapon mount).

Note: Training is for you with your gear. Bring what you want to train with. You can bring multiple guns. You need 200 rounds of practice ammunition per gun if bringing more than one caliber size. We will have lights available at class to try.

Class Cancelation/Refund Policy:

Due to class seating being limitied, payment is required to register.  We will gladly provide student reschedule or refund with at least two week notice.  Cancelations with shorter notice are nonrefundable.  Class cancelation by Practical Edge for any reason will be refunded.
